Happy 😃 Motivation Monday…our first one in 2021!  I really love this  quote because it’s your journey in life that shapes and molds you into the person you are and become.  So, naturally the more you travel, the more you encounter differences, and similarities in the cultures and destinations 🗿🗼🗽🏯🏰🏝🌋🏟that you visit; you’re learning.  Traveling broadens your opinions, expands your horizons and makes you more accepting of our differences.  Which is why I love it so much…I love ❤️ to learn! What’s something your last holiday taught you?

2020 has challenged the entire 🌎, in that we all collectively really haven’t been able to travel very far from home because of the Pandemic 😷.  If you were lucky, you were able to squeeze in one last hoorah!  For me personally, it’s changed where I travel to, but it hasn’t completely grounded me, lol!  I’ve spent the better part of 2020 learning my own state, and county.  Yosemite, Sonora, Twain Heart, Visalia, San Diego, Solana Beach, Redondo Beach, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Crystal Cove, La Jolla. Del Mar, Oceanside, San Juan Capistrano, Coronado Island, Temecula, Balboa Island and Escondido are where we spent most our time exploring in 2020. 

I’ve lived in San Diego for 22 1/2 years, and now that I’m really digging in, let me tell you…we have so much history, and so many hidden gems 💎 in our backyard.  I was shocked 😳 at how much I’ve learned, and have completely enjoyed immersing myself domestically.  All of California has so much to offer, I’m truly amazed at the discoveries and gems in our own “Backyard”.

So even though a lot of us are back on lock-down, or have stepped back into stricter restrictions.  That doesn’t mean we still can’t explore our own “Backyard”. Escape your routine and have a little holiday in your own hometown or county….”Escape your Everyday!” and don’t forget to bring the kids!

You can still be safe and explore locally. There are so many outdoor activities ⛷🏂🚵🏽🧘🏽🛷🎣🏌️‍♀️🚣🏾‍♀️you can do, even in the winter; all you need a is pair rain boots, warm socks, beanie or hat, and a good coat. You just have to make a plan, bring lots of hand sanitizer & sanitizing wipes, maintain social distance, wear a mask 😷, don’t touch your face, and remember to wash your hands frequetly.

Before Covid, I mostly traveled to Europe and to the UK 🇬🇧 …and every trip included England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 – which along with Spain 🇪🇸 holds the majority of my heart . I did a lot of domestic travel too, but didn’t dedicate enough time to exploring it. Being grounded has forced me & Indulgent Vacations to travel closer to home.   

At first I had cabin fever and was annoyed, but now I’ve completely immersed and embraced this side of the pond.  Truthfully, I’ve really fallen in love with 😍 California.  Which in turn has evolved in Indulgent exploring farther North, East and across the Pacific.  With that being said, we will be making an announcement soon about some of our recent adventures and where will be we are exploring to next; in addition to the parts of the world that we will be adding to the list of destinations that we offer.  Stay tuned!
